Please click here and here for more information. Our Fall 2009 Blue Tiger Project, a canned food drive to feed the people of Southeast Michigan through Gleaners Food Bank, was immensely successful. MIADC raised a grand total of 1235 pounds of food for the needy! Our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every person who contributed. (to read more, click here.)  • Former MIADC Chair Ramesh Verma was elected treasurer of the Michigan Democratic Party. • MIADC board member Swarn Rajpal received the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Award from the Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party. • Current MIADC Chair Jayashree Kommareddi was elected to the executive board of the State Democratic Women's Caucus and the Genesee County Democratic Party. • MIADC Vice-Chair Mahendra Kenkre was appointed to the MDP Appeals Committee. • MIADC member Sara Pajerla was elected to the executive board of Oakland County Democratic Party. • MIADC member Sunny Dhoorh was presented the Humanitarian Award for 2008-2009 from the State of Michigan for his long involvement in humanitarian activities and for working to improve the lives of others and reduce suffering.
